Seventh Grade World HistoryCost: $175
This course includes the study of the social, political, economic, and religious systems of ancient Western cultures, with an emphasis on the relationship of ancient developments to the present day. The incorporation of numerous forms of visual aids to illustrate the locations and characteristics of these early civilizations is an important component of this course. Students will experience vocabulary instruction, the practice of literacy strategies, and collaborative inquiry, as well as research experiences.
Eighth Grade American HistoryCost: $175
This course combines a practical understanding of our history and geography with the issues of technological change and life in our culture. Analytical writing, through essays and research projects, as well as reading and vocabulary assignments are required.Ninth Grade American HistoryCost: $175
American History 9, 1870s-present provides students with a foundation in the historical, geographic, political, socio-cultural, and economic development of the United States during this period. Students will examine the major issues, achievements, and challenges faced by our country and its leaders. This course includes connecting current issues in America with the past through the use of technology, cooperative learning, and individual interpretations.World HistoryCost: $175
The emphasis in this course will be on the relationship of the course content to the professional and work-life of the student in an environment of technological change and development. An understanding of world cultures and history including Western Europe, Middle East, India, China, and Africa from 1450 to the present. The course focuses on current issues that reflect upon historical and cultural trends.Government and EconomicsCost: $175The emphasis in this course will be on the relationship of the course content to the professional and work life of the student in an environment of technological change and development. The content of the course will focus on a study of the structure and functions of the United States’ political and economic systems.
Global AmericaCost: $175The emphasis in this course will be on the relationship of the course content to the professional and work life of the student in an environment of technological change and development. Global America is a thematic and chronological study of America’s modern day influence and participation in world events. This course will emphasize modern American history since the Cold War and America’s role in global political and economic issues. Themes will include international conflict and compromise, comparative government, globalization, economic interdependence, and technology.
