Summer School Rules

  • All rules and regulations pertaining to Hempfield High School will be strictly enforced during summer school. Any suspendable offense will terminate a student's enrollment - see 2023-24 HHS Student Handbook, "Student Rights and Responsibilities" and "Exclusion from School." In addition, refusal to cooperate, complete classwork, or complete homework will be considered grounds for removal.

Students attending summer school must be present in person for the first day of class (June 17, 2024), all scheduled lab classes (if applicable), and arrive on time. Attendance policies can be found in each course description.

Attendance requirements: It is expected that students attend all in-person classes. Sometimes an absence is necessary. Absences will be permitted as follows:

      • 1 absence will be permitted for a class that meets one time per week.
      • 2 absences will be permitted for a class that meets two times per week.
      • 3 absences will be permitted for a class that meets three times per week.
