Together, our two assistant superintendents oversee the K-12 educational programming for Hempfield School District, including building-level principals, student services, and curriculum.
Mrs. Maria Hoover was named Assistant Superintendent in January 2019. Prior to this position, she served as the principal of Mountville Elementary School for five years. Before coming to Hempfield School District, Mrs. Hoover served various roles in the field of public education, including K-12 Coordinator for Gifted Education and Accelerated Academic Programs, K-12 Coordinator for Professional Development, principal, classroom teacher for grades 3-7, and gifted teacher for grades K-5.
Dr. Tab Musser was named Assistant Superintendent in September 2018. Prior to this position, he served as the district’s Director of Student Services, as well as the Assistant Principal at Centerville Middle School and Principal of Landisville Middle School. Before coming to Hempfield School District, Dr. Musser was a Student Assistance Program Coordinator and Learning Support Teacher.
