Summer School Information

  • Hempfield School District's Summer School Program provides opportunities for students to enrich their understanding of basic learning skills, to acquire additional knowledge, and to achieve their fullest academic potential.

    Students will need to use a personal device or your current district issued device with Internet access at home to complete coursework. Students must be capable of meeting and maintaining the technology-based requirements of the course, to include written assignments and all assessments.

    Current 9th & 12th graders, will be asked to turn in their iPad at the conclusion of the school year. However, students that are participating in summer school may keep their device to use through July. Students that choose to keep their device for summer school will need to return the device to the Technology Office immediately following the conclusion of summer school.

    During the summer of 2024, we will offer classes in an online format. Some courses will require in-person labs. Hempfield teachers develop the curriculum and teach all classes. Students will complete all coursework at home online; however, students will be required to attend the first class in person to meet with their teacher and become oriented to their summer course. Non-Hempfield Students are required to verify with their "home" school that their summer school course credits will be accepted.

Summer School Schedule

  • The summer school schedule is as follows:

    • June 17-July 18, 2024
      • Please note: PE pre-test dates occur prior to the end of the school year. See course description for details.
      • Important schedule information: Attendance, location, and schedule information for each course can be found within the course description.


    The first day of class on June 17, 2024, is mandatory for all students to attend in person, except PE classes. Find the full first-day schedule here.

2024 Summer School Registration

Summer School Payment Methods

  • Payments must be made in cash, cashier’s check, money order, or by credit card. No personal checks will be accepted.

    Full payment is due at the time of registration. Fees are non-refundable unless the class is cancelled.

    Money orders or cashier’s checks should be made payable to: Hempfield School District. Payment can be made in person at Hempfield High School in the Franklin Office during normal school hours or mailed to: Summer School Director, Hempfield High School, 200 Stanley Avenue, Landisville PA 17538.

    Credit card payments or e-check payments can be made through the HSD Summer School website. Note: there is a third-party fee to use a credit card or e-check.
