Performance Evaluation

  • In accordance with HSD Board Policy 312: Performance Assessment of Superintendent/Assistant Superintendent, “the Board shall conduct a formal written performance assessment of the Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent annually as required by law.” The superintendent and assistant superintendent will be assessed based on mutually agreed upon performance goals, which are established at the beginning of each school year and are monitored for progress throughout the school year.

    The HSD School Board and Superintendent Christopher S. Adams, Ed.D. agreed to the following 2016-17 goal areas in August 2016:

    • Goal 1: Student Growth and Achievement
    • Goal 2: District Communications and School-Stakeholder Partnerships
    • Goal 3: Professional Development

    The Hempfield School District Board met in executive session on June 13, 2017 to conduct the performance evaluation of Superintendent Christopher S. Adams, Ed.D.     Comments from the Hempfield Board of School Directors
    Dr. Adams performed very well during his second full year as superintendent. Dr. Adams met the many challenges and demonstrated strong leadership as the leader of our district. He has earned the respect of parents and students alike as an active listener and decision maker.

    Dr. Christopher S. Adams met the mutually agreed upon goals. We are fortunate to have Dr. Chris Adams as superintendent leading our school district to higher levels of achievement.
