Free Meals Extended Through 2020-2021 School Year

The Hempfield Food Service Department is pleased to announce that all Hempfield School District students enrolled in HAVEN, virtual learning, and in-person learning programs are eligible to receive one free breakfast and one free lunch through June 4, 2021.

Students must take a complete meal in order to qualify. Complete meal components are:

  • Breakfast— Protein, Fruit, Grain, & Milk  
    • For breakfast, students must take three out of four components to qualify for a free meal.
  • Lunch—Protein, Grain, Fruit, Vegetable & Milk 
    • For lunch, students must take three out of five components to qualify for a free meal.

How Can Lunch Packers Take Advantage of the Free Meal Service?

Students bringing lunch to school can also receive free meal components. The components to qualify for a FREE meal = one fruit + one veggie + one milk. Download a PDF poster of this visual here.

Students who pack can purchase single items Á La Carte, if interested. Please ensure that your student has funds available in their school meal account

Does Domino's Pizza count as a free meal option?

Yes, all meals served in our school cafeterias qualify as free.
