  • This Week at HHS

Posted by Bill Brossman on 5/26/2025 12:00:00 PM

    This Week at HHS

    Principal’s Message

    Happy Memorial Day!

    HHS Community,

Our students did a great job with their Keystone exams last week and with navigating our special schedules. It doesn’t seem right saying so, but this is our last regular week of school.

This week is filled with end of year activities and recognitions for our Seniors. Our Juniors will also learn important information about transitioning to senior year, and how to set themselves up for success. As we wind down the school year it is more important than ever that our students finish strong and stay focused on the tasks at hand. We have asked all our staff members and students to stay vigilant here at the end of the year

Finally, with the school year coming to a close, it is time for us to collect iPads from our Seniors and our Freshman. iPad collection information has been shared with students via Schoology. Hempfield School District leases iPads for 3 years. Seniors do not get to keep their iPad when they graduate. Freshman must return their iPad so that they can be issued a new device that they will keep for grades 10, 11, and 12. The only exception is for students that are registered for summer school. If a student needs their device for summer school, they may keep it and turn it in at the end of summer school. iPad collection will begin this Friday with Seniors and continue next week with Freshman.
