Posted by Kelly Burkholder on 5/29/2025 3:00:00 PM

    Grades K, 3, 6, 9, and 12

iPads, cases/keyboard cases, charging brick and charging cables are being collected from students currently in grades K, 3, 6, 9, and 12. These iPads are being replaced over the summer and must be turned in. If you have a student in one of these grades, please know that these devices and chargers are being collected throughout the end of this week as well as next week. (See scheduled dates below). Apple iPads and chargers in these grade levels must be turned in. (Students in ESY or Summer School do NOT need to turn in their iPad until the program is completed in August.)

    • Grade 12 Collection: Friday, May 30th: PAC Lobby: 7:20AM-3:00PM
    • Grade 9 Collection: Monday, June 2nd through Wednesday, June 4th: HHS Commons and PAC Lobby
    • Grades K, 3, 6 Collection: Monday, June 2nd through Wednesday, June 4th: In student homeroom

    Grades 1, 2, 4, 5, 7, 8, 10, and 11

Students in these grade levels have the option to turn in their iPad or keep it at home for use this summer. The district will be collecting iPads from students who wish to turn them in for summer storage next week (June 2nd-June 4th). Chargers should remain at home for use next school year and will NOT be collected if a student is turning in their iPad for the summer. Students who turn in the iPad for the summer will receive the iPad in their new homeroom at the start of the 2025-2026 school year. Please contact the Technology Office at 717-898-5596 for any iPad-related questions over the summer.

  • Change of plans for Friday, May 30 for 7th grade

Posted by Lisa Mumma on 5/28/2025 10:00:00 AM

Friday is our Field Day and Fun Day! While we originally planned to be outside at Amos Herr Park, the weather has other ideas. Due to rain in the forecast, we’ll be moving all the fun indoors here at CMS— but don’t worry, we’ve planned an awesome day filled with high-energy games, creative challenges, and friendly competition!

Here’s what you need to know:

    • Students should wear comfortable clothes and sneakers tomorrow — you’ll be moving, racing, building, and cheering all day long.
      • Knights should wear red.
      • Scribes should wear black.
    • Teachers will guide teams through a variety of stations, from gym relays and hallway races to team trivia, charades, and more.
    • Students should still plan to pack their lunch if they have not ordered a packed lunch from the cafeteria.
    • Like always, we encourage students to carry a water bottle.
    • This is a day to celebrate teamwork, effort, and having fun. Students should bring their best attitude and good sportsmanship.

Let’s make Friday a day to remember. Be ready to have fun, show respect, and represent CMS with pride!

We are CMS, Choose to be safe, Make responsible decisions, and Show respect!!
