Principal's Welcome

  • Welcome to the Centerville Middle School website where you will find the latest updates on school news, lunch menus and much more. I encourage you to stay updated by subscribing to the 5:00 emails. I also encourage you to monitor your student's grades and teacher communications by signing up for access to PowerSchool and Schoology. As the CMS Principal, I am proud to share this valuable resource with you so that we can enhance your family’s overall Hempfield experience. I hope you use this site for what it is… a window into your student’s daily middle school life.

Centerville Middle School is one of two middle schools in the Hempfield School District, and serves approximately 620 seventh and eighth graders. Our competent and caring faculty and staff are committed to giving our students an outstanding education, and to making sure they are prepared to face whatever challenges lie ahead. We embrace our diverse student population and offer differentiated instruction so that each student receives an educational program that best prepares them for not only their high school years, but life beyond graduation.

Greetings, Hempfield Community! I am incredibly excited to join the wonderful Hempfield and CMS community as Centerville Middle School’s assistant principal. I have 15 years of experience in education, 11 as a teacher and four as an administrator. As an assistant principal, I am driven to support students and staff alike as we strive to grow together academically, behaviorally, and personally over this school year. Discipline is a major facet of the role of assistant principal. My approach is oriented around an underlying philosophy of striving to treat all students with fairness, consistency, and dignity, regardless of the circumstances. I prioritize measures that are both reasonable and appropriate in helping guide that student towards personal growth and development towards becoming a stronger member of our building. Likewise, I value building relationships with all stakeholders and invite communication from parents, guardians, and the community at large as we work together to achieve Hempfield’s vision together: “personal growth, achievement, and success for everyone.”
