Principal’s Message

 

HHS Community,

Scoring proficient or advanced on the Keystone Exams is the clearest and easiest Pathway to Graduation. HHS will be administering Keystone Exams this week for students enrolled in Algebra 1B, Biology, or English 10.  All students taking one Keystone Exam will complete Module 1 on May 13^th and Module 2 on May 14^th from 7:40-9:40AM using a modified bell schedule.  All students who are not testing on these days will report to their Period 1 class on May 13^th and their Period 2 class on May 14^th. The special schedules for May 13th and 14th are posted in the Schoology calendar. 

HHS will operate under a regular bell schedule on May 15^th and 16^th.  However, students who are taking a second or third Keystone exam will take Module 1 on Wednesday, May 15^th and Module 2 on Thursday, May 16^th.  Students taking additional exams will follow an alternative schedule. The remainder of students at HHS will follow their normal schedule.  CTC students taking a third Keystone exam will not go to CTC on these days.  All students testing should have received a letter in the mail with their comprehensive testing information.  Bus transportation, breakfast and lunch shifts will operate as usual.

We will be hosting Commencement for the class of 2024 next Wednesday, May 22^nd at 6:00pm in the Georgelis Larson and Sabatino Injury Law Firm Stadium. Families of the class of 2024 be sure to check the Commencement Tab of the HHS Website for information on this event, and other senior related activities that will take place.

This year’s theme for HHS is Raising the Bar. We are looking to get better in everything we do. If you would like to recognize a staff member for Raising the Bar for going above and beyond, you can nominate them HERE, and we will recognize them at one of our faculty meetings.
