    A Message from the Principal

Welcome to Rohrerstown Elementary School and to the Hempfield School District. We are proud of the dedicated teachers, staff, students, and parents/guardians, and community!  They are truly awesome.

Each year the demands on education and being a parent/guardian become more and more demanding and complex, and it becomes more evident that we need to work together to insure all children are successful and that all children reach their maximum potential. At Rohrerstown, it is our belief that it is both the school and community’s responsibility to work together to develop not only the academic areas but to also insure that children develop socially, emotionally, and physically.   We believe that there are countless ways that students can – and do – succeed and working collaboratively with families, we can create the conditions that foster student success.  Research has demonstrated that parent/guardian participation coincides with student success, which is what we strive for with all of all students.

As a parent/guardian of a Rohrerstown student, you are member of our family. You are invited to attend our PTO meetings and volunteer.  We welcome all levels of support and look forward to meeting and working with you. Please visit the RES PTO homepage or the RES PTO Facebook page.

Rohrerstown Elementary has established a strong school community and we have a very special, diverse student population, and we take pride in our individualities. We appreciate others’ cultures and respect differences.
