  • Tuesday Dress for Turkey Trot

    Tomorrow, we will be outside for our annual Turkey Trot. Please make sure you have dressed accordingly for the weather. Coats, beanies, and gloves are recommended. The temps will most likely be in the 40's when we participate in our Turkey Trot.

    Popcorn Sales
    Our popcorn fundraiser was a big hit! If you placed orders that will be delivered to the school, we now have an estimated delivery date of the first week in December. It was originally shared that the delivery would come by Thanksgiving. We apologize for any inconvenience.

    Patriots
    The Patriot team teachers are proud to announce Avery Fitzgerald and Carter Watson as our Prestigious Patriots of the Week. You are consistently doing a great job and we are very proud of you!

    Pioneers
    Congratulations to Bella Ortman & Michael Palomino for earning the Prodigious Pioneer award! This is awarded to students who display good work ethic, team spirit, and kindness to others.

    Knights
    The Knights team would like to announce our Knowledgeable Knight(s): Alyssa Siegrist. Congratulations!

    Basketball Tryouts
    Girls' basketball tryouts are on Friday and Saturday. Friday's time is from 6-8:30 PM. Saturday is from 10 AM-12 PM. Both tryouts will be located in the LMS gymnasium. Hope to see you there!

    Lancaster County Community Foundation’s Extraordinary Give is tomorrow, Friday, November 18, and several organizations that help families in the Hempfield area are participating.

    One such organization is the Hempfield Foundation, which supports teachers and staff in all grade levels and in all school buildings through grants that help students learn, create, and compete. Grants have been used for purchasing innovative classroom resources, breaking down barriers for students with special needs, introducing students to talented artists across all genres, and giving students access to cutting-edge equipment and technology.

    To make an ExtraGive contribution to the Hempfield Foundation or any of the numerous organizations that help our students and community members, visit www.extragive.org tomorrow, Friday, November 18, between 12:00 a.m. until 11:59 p.m.

    Congratulations to the Hempfield Marching Knights on their outstanding performance this past weekend at Cavalcade Marching Band Championships! The 101 marching band members performed their 2022 field show “[Un]Limited” and put on a performance that completed a truly special season - with the team's best performance of the year! In a very close competition with several other outstanding bands, HMK was awarded the Cavalcade Yankee Open Class Bronze Medal with a score of 95.3.

  • District Semi-Final Football Pre-Sale Tickets

    Due to an anticipated large crowd and long entry lines, Hempfield Athletics will be pre-selling tickets for Friday's PIAA District 3-6A semi-final football game vs. Manheim Township. The Black Knights will host the Blue Streaks on Friday, November 18 at 7:00 p.m.

    Tickets will be sold to Hempfield students & staff during the coming school days. The general public will also have the opportunity to purchase pre-sale tickets on Wednesday, November 16 from 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. at the Buchanan High School Office.

    Tickets can still be purchased at the gate. All tickets are $6.
