Acts of Kindess Donations
Posted by Clint Willman on 3/17/2023 1:00:00 AMAs part of the LMS Acts of Kindness for our One Book, One School, When Stars Are Scattered by Omar Mohamad, we are collecting materials for students to build toiletry and school kits for newly arrived refugees in Lancaster County. World Church Services collects these in-kind donations as a way to offset the cost of setting up a new home. Please see the list below for items to collect:
Refugee Toiletry Kits
LMS is collecting the following to assemble toiletry kits for refugees settling in central PA. Please donate the item (new & full-sized items) assigned to your last name:- A-C: Bar of Soap
- D-F: New Washcloth
- G-I: Deodorant
- J-L: Toothbrush
- M-O: Toothpaste
- P-R: New Brush or Comb
- S-U: Shampoo
- V-Z: Body Lotion
School Kits
Your family may also choose to donate materials for a school kit:- Lined notebook
- Pencils/pens
- Pencil sharpener
- Large eraser
- Scissors
- Box of crayons
- 12" ruler

Parent Information on Library Resources

PIAA 6A Boys Basketball Championship Tickets
Posted by Brooke Fisher on 3/7/2023 9:00:00 AMWe hope our Hempfield community will come out to support the Black Knights as they host Emmaus in the first round of the PIAA 6A Boys Basketball Championship on Saturday, March 11 at 4:00 p.m.
ALL TICKETS MUST BE PURCHASED ONLINE at this link! No passes or IDs will be accepted and tickets will not be sold at the door.

Thank you: Food Drive Collected Over 6,000 lbs. of Food
Posted by Brooke Fisher on 3/6/2023 11:00:00 AMThank you to all who donated non-perishable food items during the 13th Annual Hempfield Food Drive! Special thanks to J.K. Mechanical for providing service vehicles to collect and transport donations from our schools to the Hempfield Area Food Pantry and to Market Street Sports Group for their support and assistance in helping us to collect food donations.
This year we collected 6,038 pounds of food – 1,400 pounds more than last year! Thank you again to the families, staff, and community members who gave so generously to help our neighbors at the Pantry.
