Hempfield Youth Association Baseball and Softball Information (Spring 2024)

Hempfield Youth Association (HYA) has officially opened or will soon open softball and baseball registration for travel and intramural programs for the Spring 2024 season! We are excited to continue our growth into the new year and provide an opportunity for more kids to play baseball and softball within our community.
Travel Baseball (Register Now through 1/14/24):
We offer travel baseball at 10U, 12U, and 14U with multiple teams at each age group.Travel tryouts are on 1/20/24 (14U) and 1/21/24 (10U & 12U) depending on age group at Keystone State Sports, with a second tryout on 2/4/24 at Spooky Nook.
Intramural Baseball (Register Now through 2/18/24):
We offer intramural baseball at pony (4-6 year olds), minors (5-7 year olds), and majors (6-9 year olds). This is a great way to introduce kids to baseball as well as develop their skills over time to prepare for the travel levels noted above.Softball (Register 1/1/24 through 1/31/24):
We offer softball programs at 8U, 10U, 12U, and 14U with multiple teams at each age group. Softball tryouts are on 2/17/24 at Spooky Nook LANCO.Register today!

Partial and Full Registration Help
We continue to offer partial and full registration help to families in need as we are dedicated to assuring no child in our community who wants to play baseball will have monetary concerns keep them from doing so. Holiday Dance
Posted by Dr. Mack on 12/4/2023 2:35:00 AMThe LMS Holiday Dance is this Friday, December 8 from 7-9 p.m. in the cafeteria. Tickets can be purchased for $3 during lunches on Thursday and Friday, or for $5 at the door. Students should bring their ID and extra money for snacks, drinks and photo booth. We hope to see you there!

Free Lunches Start Friday, Dec. 1
Posted by Kelly Burkholder on 11/30/2023 1:00:00 PMEarlier this week, you received an email from the district regarding the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) that provides free lunches for students. This is in addition to the free breakfast that is already offered. Free lunches begin on Friday, Dec. 1 for all students, regardless of your family’s income.
The funds currently in your child’s account may be used for snacks, drinks, ice cream – items not on the menu, or you may visit the Food Services section on the website under Forms & Resources to request a refund.

Audition Workshop
Posted by Dr. Mack on 11/27/2023 9:05:00 AMMrs. Lawrie will be holding an audition workshop for the spring musical, Into the Woods, on November 28 from 3:00-5:00 p.m., in Room 141, at LMS. Mrs. Lawrie will discuss tips on auditioning and give an overview of the choreography of the show. If attending, please plan for transportation at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
