  • Don’t Miss the HPEC Family Game Night

    Parents and students (K-12) are invited to join Hempfield Parents for Exceptional Children (HPEC) and The Bodhana Group for Family Game Night on Tuesday, April 25 from 6:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at East Petersburg Elementary School.

    We'll be playing some of our favorite games while discovering how they help us learn and grow!

    Families must register by Friday, April 14 due to limited capacity. When registering, please indicate the number of adults and students who will attend.

  • Update Your MySchoolBucks Mobile App Now

    A new version of the MySchoolBucks mobile app is now available for iOS and Android, which provides a number of security enhancements. If you have not done so already, please update to this latest version as soon as possible.

    Later next week, all previous versions of the mobile app will no longer allow you to access your account or make payments.

    At Hempfield, MySchoolBucks is used to deposit money into school lunch accounts and also to process Extracurricular Activity Fees, Instrument Rental Fees, and 1:1 Technology Fees.

    Attention Windows Phone Users: Unfortunately, the Windows Phone version of the mobile app will no longer be supported. However, you can still access your account directly through the MySchoolBucks website.

  • Volunteers Needed for May 16 Student Event

    Invitation to volunteer on May 16, 2017.

    On Tuesday, May 16 our entire student body will participate in Junior Achievement’s YES! (Your Economic Success) program. Volunteers are needed to present six, 40-minute activities throughout the day. No prior experience is necessary, and all materials will be provided.

    Are you a student interested in talking about race or culture? Do want to make a difference in your school or community? Do you read the headlines and wonder if you could do anything to help? The Leadership Summit: Dialogues on Racism is seeking students to receive exclusive training and experiences on race and culture. On April 11th, you can take part in this FREE unique opportunity. Join students from throughout Lancaster and Lebanon Counties to collaborate, learn, and lead. Please sign-up in the Counseling Office.

    If you are an 8th grader that already started painting a tile and it is not finished, please see Miss Smith for a pass to work on your tile.

     

    The Nobles are pleased to announce last week’s Notable Noble Anna Hooper, from homeroom 103. Way to go ANNA!!!

    There will be a Bible study held in the art room on Wednesday March 29th at 7:10am. Please see Abby Jordan or Grace Forry with questions. All students are welcome.

  • March 2-Minute Talk Focuses on Standardized Testing

    Do you have questions about PSSAs? In our March 2-Minute Talk, Dr. Adams and Mr. Bromirski explain the purpose of standardized testing and how Hempfield School District utilizes various data points to evaluate the effectiveness of teachers, our schools, and our district.

Special recognition to Annie Russell, Bridget Reheard, Trent Meyers, Claudia Schmitz and Nadia Walters for placing in their category, as well as all of the students who received Auxiliary awards.

    Hello, We will be running a short AM activity today (Friday). This is a reminder that students should leave their belongings in their 1st period class and report directly to the gym.     LMS is happy to have Mr. Jim Gallagher here as our artist in residence. He is working with student one-on-one making sculptures as well as making a collective sculpture with 8th grade students.
