Before your big Holiday grocery shopping begins, please make sure to provide your Giant Card Number to the school or to the email address below! These numbers need to be registered every year and are not carried over by Giant from year to year. The funds add up quickly for the school, but to really benefit, we need to have as many cards in the system as possible! Please ask for your neighbors and relatives card numbers too!!

This is the easiest way to make money for our school while you do your regular everyday grocery shopping! At LPC and LIC, we have roughly 600 families. Register by clicking here. Our school code is 02071 (Landisville Primary/Intermediate Centers). Thank you for your support!

  • Landisville Fun Festival Cancelled

Posted by Kimberly Snyder on 5/7/2020 3:45:00 PM

    Landisville Community,

Our PTO has offered all Landisville students additional opportunities and experiences to enrich and advance their education thanks to all of you and the fundraising efforts put together each year. While our biggest Fundraiser, this year’s Fun Festival, is cancelled due to safety reasons connected to Co-Vid 19, we also want to assure you that we are committed to creative planning to continue to support all K-6 students moving forward once safety protocols and CDC guidelines permit us to continue our effort and mission of providing these enriching opportunities to all Landisville students. Many thanks to all the volunteers and community members who were already working behind the scenes with the Basket Auction, Bake Sale, young children’s games and for securing donations for the auction. We greatly appreciate everyone’s support and we look forward to your help next school year.

While we will not have the grandiose Fun Festival, it is our hope and intent to potentially add some Dine Night Outs over the summer to help support both local restaurants and businesses while also helping our students through the PTO. If you are ordering from your Amazon account, please remember the PTO and all of our students can also benefit when you order through the PTO Amazon link: https://smile.amazon.com/ch/27-5150981

Thank you for your continued partnership in focusing on the health and safety of our entire community during these unprecedented times. Experiences in past years pertaining to Field Trips, Assemblies, building equipment or a special artist or author visit may look different for a year or two, but the PTO Executive Board is committed to providing similar opportunities which will be discussed at our Back to School Open House events in the Fall.

We welcome your thoughts and creative ideas to offer fun, enlightening, and exciting opportunities throughout the year which then can benefit all Landisville students in their classrooms.

We wish you and your family safe health and look forward to seeing you all soon.

    Your Landisville PTO

***Please contact a PTO Member or Principal if you have an interest in serving as a future Board Member or if you have ideas to benefit the entire Landisville Community of learners.

  • LPC News April 20

Posted by Kimberly Snyder on 4/20/2020 11:00:00 AM

School is closed for the remainder of the school year but learning is happening every day!

While teachers posted opportunities to review and practice in an effort to solidify skills the last three weeks, they will now begin to expect some assignments and tasks to be turned in beginning this Monday. While none of us expected, anticipated, or really even wanted to not be in school learning, we continue to try to make the best of it through these online learning opportunities. Teachers will be in contact with you to ensure we are all on the same page when it comes to addressing health and safety first; this includes all of our emotional health and well-being! Following physical safety and good health, our next top priority and concern is understanding your family situation and working cooperatively with every one of you. Contact your child/ren’s teacher(s) often and feel free to contact the counselor or principal if you still have concerns after speaking with the teacher. We are in this pandemic together and while we desire academic progress and continuity, we will work with each family to do whatever necessary for everyone’s health and well-being first. While I am certain you have the email of your child/ren’s classroom teacher(s), this list is for your convenience to reach out to specialists if/when needed or if you have questions or concerns to discuss with any one of us:

    THE FUN FESTIVAL IS CANCELLED!

Our PTO Fun Festival will not be held this year due to safety concerns for everyone’s health related to the Coronavirus pandemic. The PTO Board would like to thank everyone for their donation items towards the Basket Auction and preparations leading up to the Festival in May. However, in the interest of everyone’s physical safety, there will be no Festival this school year. The PTO Board will be meeting to discuss Emergency planning given the pandemic and school closures to devise a plan for maintaining the financial stability to support both Landisville schools as we prepare for the 2020-21 school year. More information related to the PTO can/will be found on the PTO site in May. Please contact building principals or a PTO Board Member with questions or concerns as we make decisions in the best interest of the entire Landisville Community during these unprecedented times.

      • Thankful Thursday: LPC is thankful for our entire School Community. During this nation-wide pandemic we have an opportunity to grow closer to each other and show our true partnership and commitment to each other. Things are challenging and times are rough; but tough times don’t last when tougher people come together to do what is best for each other. I am thankful for the many positive wishes and comments regarding teaching staff and how everyone is committed to working together over the past month. I understand the challenges some families have with multiple children, work requirements, and various other challenges your family may be faced with at this time. I am so proud and thankful for not just LPC, but the entire Hempfield School District Community. It’s encouraging to see their effort daily to show commitment to our kids, their families and the community, while also trying to be as responsive and flexible as possible in offering learning opportunities of a differentiated nature for children at all grade levels. We are in this together and we are thankful for each other. Together we will all learn and grow and make the best out of these challenging times. Thanks for everyone’s continued communication and commitment to help each other through this pandemic. Aevidum!
      • Thankful Thursday LPC Recognition: LPC is thankful for Miss McNelis. Miss McNelis not only helps every one of her students on her caseload, but she also willingly jumps in to help staff and families with many needs throughout each school year. Miss McNelis is always helping to ease all student and family anxieties while offering top notch instruction and care. Miss McNelis models true Bucket Filling characteristics through her daily words and actions at LPC and all throughout Hempfield. Miss McNelis will continue to offer learning online opportunities and reaching out to families with resources to help their children. THANKS Miss McNelis for ALL you continue to do to make each new day better than the one before. (It was also Miss McNelis’ birthday recently if you’d like to send her well wishes.)

    Hello LPC and LIC Families!

Do you own a business or know someone who does who would like to donate something to our Funfest Basket Auction? Funfest is on Friday, May 8, 2020 from 3:30-9:00p.m. All the money raised from the Basket Auction is 100% profit for our schools! We will have a sign with your business name on it and you are able to display your business cards if you would like. We will also shout out to our donors on the PTO Facebook page.

Please reach out to Carolyn Hernandez (Ckochan@hotmail.com) or Liz Djaraher (lizchrencik@hotmail.com)  if you would like to donate. We ask for all donations by April 24, 2020. They can be left in the LPC office or we can arrange a time to get them from you.
