Landisville PTO

  • The Landisville PTO serves both Landisville Primary Center and Landisville Intermediate Center. The executive board works with  guardians, as well as school administration, faculty, and staff, to help fulfill the objectives of the organization.

Our objective is to increase the amount of communication between the school and your home. We appreciate, and welcome, any volunteer help you may be able to provide.

  • Giant A+ Shopper Rewards Program
Before your big Holiday grocery shopping begins, please make sure to provide your Giant Card Number to the school or to the email address below! These numbers need to be registered every year and are not carried over by Giant from year to year. The funds add up quickly for the school, but to really benefit, we need to have as many cards in the system as possible! Please ask for your neighbors and relatives card numbers too!!

This is the easiest way to make money for our school while you do your regular everyday grocery shopping! At LPC and LIC, we have roughly 600 families. Register by clicking here. Our school code is 02071 (Landisville Primary/Intermediate Centers). Thank you for your support!

    Volunteer Information & Clearances
The Hempfield School District welcomes individuals who are interested in volunteering. A volunteer is a person who services the district without compensation on a planned, approved, and regular basis. For further information about volunteering and clearances, please click here.

Posted by Kimberly Snyder on 9/4/2019 11:30:00 AM

Thank you for coming out to Open House and learning about the programs your children will participate in this school year. We look forward to an exciting year of partnering with your family in the best interest of your children. Below you will see links where volunteer help is still needed. Also, if you have extra time on your hands and would like to be paid, please consider putting in an application to be a substitute in the various support roles available at LPC and LIC.

We are proud to say our fire drill went very well this past week. Another way that you can help us prepare for your child’s safety is by sending notes to the teacher in advance and by always having your Driver’s License ID ready to show anytime you visit the office to pick up your child or help out. While we encourage cooperation and having each other’s back, I must once again ask that you do not hold the front door open for the person behind you when buzzing in. If three or four people wait to introduce themselves and the reason for their visit that would be fine, but the door should not be held open for anyone whom has not spoken to an office staff member stating their purpose for the visit to the school.

Please know LPC is equipped with over 75 telephones. If you have a missed call but a message has not been left, please do not feel the need to call back. Only the office staff answers incoming calls where up to seventy people may have made the outgoing call to you. Staff know to share if there’s an emergency, but there could be many reasons they tried to reach out if they did not leave a message. They will reach out again if they can’t connect on their first effort. Thanks in advance for keeping our phone lines open through the office for emergency type situations.

As we change our student information reporting system to PowerSchool, you should have found papers in your child’s backpack to update your phone numbers, emergency contacts for your children, your address, and many other things to keep our communications and information updated between home and school. Please send this paperwork back to LPC once you update all of your information.

Thank you to the many volunteers whom have already been in and out of the school, cafeteria, hallways helping in the first week and to those who will be signing up to help this month. We still have openings in the cafeteria this September. Thanks for considering to help us at LPC!

  • Announcements: April 30

Posted by Kimberly Snyder on 4/30/2019 3:40:00 PM

Join us for the LPC Night of the Arts Celebration, this Thursday evening, between 4:00-8:00PM. Specific times for classroom arrival and performances by team and class can be found below on Thursday’s agenda. If you are unable to attend the evening performance, please contact your child’s teacher and/or the office to make arrangements for seeing your grand/children perform during the day’s dress rehearsal shared with our LPC students and staff.

Our PTO Fun Festival is less than two weeks away and we need many helpers for this day to be successful. We continue to seek for interested volunteers for coordinating young Children’s Games Facilitation, Kitchen help during later hours, and Clean Up/Trash collection help.

You can sign up off our main link to help here.

With our effort to improve safety and security for all students across the entire District, we continue to seek safe practices and policies adopted by national schools rated the safest in America. Common practice for all adults picking up a child for any reason is to have their photo identification prepared to show staff whether in the office, or at the car riding line loop during dismissal. Furthermore, emotional safety is every bit as important as physical safety. Please remind your children to not use threats or gestures which can intimidate or upset others. Ipads and iphones should be used for learning and communication. They are not to be used to take photos or video of anyone as this can breach confidentiality of others and create unnecessary conflict. Thanks again for addressing these issues with your children and preparing them for success.

  • Announcements: March 12

Posted by Kimberly Snyder on 3/12/2019 10:45:00 AM

Mrs. Beidler and Mrs. Ernst are pleased to announce that Greg Percy, singer and songwriter will visit LPC for two days in March. Through a generous donation from Hempfield Education Foundation, Greg will hold music workshops with each second grade class on Tuesday, March 19. Then on Wednesday, March 20, he will perform a concert for the entire student body and then again in the evening for LPC families.

Please join us for this free concert!  Wednesday, March 20 from 7:00-7:45 p.m. in the LPC cafeteria.  Doors will open at 6:40 p.m.

    Here’s what people are saying......

“Songs in the Key of Art” is an award winning collection of music about artists and art for kids (and adults!). All of the music is written and performed by Art Educator/Musician Greg Percy. He’s coming to us all the way from Wisconsin and uses a wide variety of musical styles from pop to polka to punk. Each song explores a particular artist or artistic theme, intertwined with fun, humorous lyrics. The songs are easy to listen to and easy to remember. If you were to ask one of Greg’s students about the primary colors, it’s likely the response would be sung instead of spoken. His live shows are just plain fun! “Songs in the Key of Art” Volumes 1-5 provide a valuable resource for both teachers and parents, and provide kids with a great way to learn about the wonderful world of art. If your child is expressing any anxiety or stress with these drills, never hesitate to reach out to school personnel to let us know, so we can help you in speaking with them to ease their anxiety. Thank you for partnering with us to communicate the importance of being prepared for many situations.
