If you would like to come in to the school to claim these items, the office will be open next week, Monday - Thursday, from 8:00am-4:00pm. 

All items not claimed will be donated after next week. 

What a Great End to the School Year!

Congratulations to our sixth-grade students as they transition to middle school—we’re so proud of you!

Third grade celebrated the last day of school with a fun dance party, and across all grades, students shared mixed emotions as they said goodbye for the summer.

Wishing everyone a safe, relaxing, and happy summer break. We look forward to seeing you again next year!

On Monday, the graduating class of 2025 returned to where it all began - Mountville Elementary. Walking through the familiar halls, they were met with smiles, cheers and memories that reminded them of just how far they had come! Congratulations to the class of 2025! 

We were able to have our Beach Day this week! The students had a great time playing games, eating popsicles and enjoyed being outside. Several grades had their class picnics as well.

This is our final week of school! There are lots of activities happening this week: class picnics and the 6th grade awards ceremony. Tuesday is an early dismissal at 1:30pm and Wednesday dismissal will be at 1:00pm.

During Senior Awards Night on Wednesday, May 28, the Hempfield Foundation awarded a total of $28,000 in scholarships to 13 outstanding Hempfield High School seniors! Please click here to see a complete list of this year's scholarship winners.

Also, the Foundation is offering one last chance to join its 2025 Golf Tournament on Friday, June 6 at Four Seasons Golf Club. The event begins at 12 PM with registration and lunch, followed by a 1:00 PM start. There will be multiple skill prizes and a brief reception will follow the event. Individual golfers are $125 (active employees of the Hempfield School District are $100). Register now before it’s too late: https://www.hempfieldfoundation.org/golf-signup/. Participation directly helps the Hempfield Foundation fund programs and initiatives that benefit the students, staff, and teachers of the Hempfield School District.

Grades K, 3, 6, 9, and 12

iPads, cases/keyboard cases, charging brick and charging cables are being collected from students currently in grades K, 3, 6, 9, and 12. These iPads are being replaced over the summer and must be turned in. If you have a student in one of these grades, please know that these devices and chargers are being collected throughout the end of this week as well as next week. (See scheduled dates below). Apple iPads and chargers in these grade levels must be turned in. (Students in ESY or Summer School do NOT need to turn in their iPad until the program is completed in August.)

• Grade 12 Collection: Friday, May 30^th: PAC Lobby: 7:20AM-3:00PM
• Grade 9 Collection: Monday, June 2^nd through Wednesday, June 4th: HHS Commons and PAC Lobby
• Grades K, 3, 6 Collection: Monday, June 2^nd through Wednesday, June 4th: In student homeroom 

Grades 1, 2, 4, 5, 7, 8, 10, and 11

Students in these grade levels have the option to turn in their iPad or keep it at home for use this summer. The district will be collecting iPads from students who wish to turn them in for summer storage next week (June 2nd-June 4^th). Chargers should remain at home for use next school year and will NOT be collected if a student is turning in their iPad for the summer. Students who turn in the iPad for the summer will receive the iPad in their new homeroom at the start of the 2025-2026 school year.
