    From now through Wednesday, July 31, our Hempfield School District website may experience some down time as we move to a new, easier-to-use website experience. If you are looking for specific information or have any questions, please email during this time.   • July 23 Buildings & Grounds Committee Meeting Location & Time Change

    The next Buildings and Grounds Committee meeting will be held on Tuesday, July 23 at 6:30 p.m. at East Petersburg Elementary School.

    The following August 20 and September 17 meetings will return to their normal scheduled time and place: 4:30 p.m. in the Board Conference Room of the Administration Building.

  • Allergy Updates 2019-20 School Year

    If your child has developed a new allergy or their existing allergy has changed, it is the responsibility of the parent or guardian to contact the Food Services Office and complete a Medical Plan of Care Form to keep files up-to-date. Medical Plan of Care forms are for Food Services use only. The forms are available on our Food Services website linked here.

    Meetings are held in the Public Board Room of the district's Administration Building, 200 Church Street, Landisville.

    Agendas are posted to the website by 5:00 p.m. on the Friday before a School Board meeting.

  • Support Staff Job Fair this Wednesday, June 12

    We are hiring across the district for part-time and full-time support staff positions. Start a rewarding career at Hempfield School District by visiting our Job Fair on Wednesday, June 12 at Rohrerstown Elementary School in the Gymnasium from 11:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. See a full listing of available positions here.

    Childcare will be available on site, as well as computer stations for you to apply for your desired position, and you may schedule a follow-up interview that day too.

  • It’s Time to Check on the Status of Volunteer Clearances!

    If you have clearances on file to volunteer with the Hempfield School District, please check to see when your clearances are due to expire. Clearances are valid for five years from the earliest date on your three clearances. To do so, contact the building secretary where you volunteer before Monday, June 17 or contact our HR Office during the summer months.

    If your clearances are due to expire between now and December 31, 2020, please plan ahead due to the expected increase in individuals requiring fingerprinting. During the next 18 months, it is estimated that roughly 500,000 people in Pennsylvania will need to be fingerprinted. 

    The following items are required to volunteer in Hempfield School District. 

    1. Arrest/Conviction Report (PDE Form 6004)
    1. PA State Police Criminal History Check Free
    • Requests must be completed online at Your clearance will be ready immediately and you should print it by clicking on the “Certificate Form” button. If you are unable to print it, write down the control number so you can access it later. 
    1. PA Child Abuse History ClearanceFree
    1. FBI Criminal Background Check – Cost $23.85
    • Requests must be completed online at

    • Click on “Schedule or Manage Appointment.”
    • You must schedule an appointment for fingerprinting. The following sites are currently approved:
      • Faithful at Home Care
        • 888 Millersville Road, Lancaster, PA 17603
      • Elizabethtown Library
        • 10 S. Market Street, Elizabethtown, PA 17022
      • Ephrata Library
        • 550 S. Reading Road, Ephrata, PA 17522
      • We will need the paid receipt or unofficial results letter.

    When you have completed all four (4) necessary clearances/forms, please bring the documents to Human Resources in the Administration Building, 200 Church Street, Landisville, PA 17538 between 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., or email them to If you have any questions, please contact the Human Resources Office at 898-5503.
