Mountville Elementary School PTO

  • Mountville’s PTO is made up of two separate groups. The PTO consists of officers who make decisions about budgets, events and spending. The PAC (Parent Advisory Council) is a parent forum designed to be a sounding board between parents and the principal. Both organizations work to make decisions that benefit Mountville students. All parents are invited to attend both groups.

PTO members sit at outdoor tables.

  • MES PTO: Spring Basket Raffle Fundraiser & Snack Sign Ups

Posted by Kimberly Snyder on 2/4/2021 11:15:00 AM

The Mountville Elementary School PTO is pleased to announce that we will be hosting a Spring Basket Raffle Fundraiser. This year we are not able to host our highly successful Purse Bingo Fundraiser, therefore we will be holding an online silent basket raffle. To keep the purse theme alive, the raffle will include, raffle basket themes from each classroom, designer purses donated by the PTO and donations from the local community. We are looking to the Mountville Community for gift card donations to your establishment, an experience, a basket of goods OR a free service such as a massage or lawn mowing! The sky is the limit! Donation collection is underway and will continue until March 6th! Donations can be mailed to the school or an email can be sent to our PTO President Shannon Douglas at sdouglas@igus.net and she would be happy to pick up!

Things may look a little different this year with events, but the Mountville PTO still has the same goal in mind to support the staff and students. With the raised funds, the PTO will continue to save for the final stage of the outdoor classroom to build a roof over the patio as well as additional seating! Thank you for your ongoing support!

  • Food Drive hosted by Mountville Elementary PTO

Posted by Kimberly Snyder on 12/7/2020 2:00:00 PM

Every week, the Power Packs Project provides a recipe and the ingredients to make it for students and their families who are food insecure. In addition, we send home shelf staples like cereal, milk, canned fruit, and peanut butter. Hosting a Food Drive is a vital way to support Power Packs, as it saves the program a significant amount of money that would otherwise be taken from our annual budget.

While many food items are purchased at considerable savings from the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank, Power Packs purchases some items, including the items listed below, at close to full price to distribute weekly. We would appreciate your donation of the following items:

    • 16 oz peanut butter
    • fruit canned
    • veggies canned
    • soup canned

Monetary donations are always appreciated. Because of our great buying power, we can stretch your monetary donations on items other than protein. Checks can be made out to Hempfield Power Packs and mailed to: PO BOX 363 Landisville, PA 17538. Please follow us on Facebook at Hempfield Power Packs. MES PTO will be hosting this food drive until Wednesday December 23rd.

Thank you for your partnership with us and your support!
