  • Volunteers Needed for Junior Achievement

Posted by Kimberly Snyder on 1/22/2019 1:00:00 PM

Junior Achievement is a worldwide nonprofit organization that presents important life skills through hands-on educational lessons focusing on financial literacy, entrepreneurship, and work readiness. Caring adults (like you) are asked to volunteer to share the JA program with students in the classroom. As a classroom volunteer, you will discover the benefits of having a direct impact on local education and the fun of sharing your life experiences with a classroom full of students.

    Why Volunteer for Junior Achievement?

You’ll be surprised at how easy and rewarding your volunteer experience is! Each session has one or two interactive activities. The classroom teacher provides the support and discipline. Junior Achievement provides training, lesson plans, and the engaging classroom materials -- all you need is your enthusiasm!

    What is the time commitment?

The time commitment per class is 30- 40 minutes per session for 5 visits to the classroom. Usually, the visits are over a 5 week time period. You schedule your presentation days and times directly with your teacher.

    What skills do I need?

A desire to make a difference! Exciting Volunteer Opportunity!!

MES is looking for three more volunteers to help in our 5th grade classrooms! We have a volunteer for Mrs. Clarke's class!

Click this link to learn more about becoming a JA Classroom Volunteer!

For more information or to sign up, please contact Mia Welaish at mwelaish@jascpa.org.
