  • Giant A+ Shopper Rewards Program

Before your big Holiday grocery shopping begins, please make sure to provide your Giant Card Number to the school or to the email address below! These numbers need to be registered every year and are not carried over by Giant from year to year. The funds add up quickly for the school, but to really benefit, we need to have as many cards in the system as possible! Please ask for your neighbors and relatives card numbers too!!

This is the easiest way to make money for our school while you do your regular everyday grocery shopping! At LPC and LIC, we have roughly 600 families. Register by clicking here. Our school code is 02071 (Landisville Primary/Intermediate Centers). Thank you for your support!

    Volunteer Information & Clearances

The Hempfield School District welcomes individuals who are interested in volunteering. A volunteer is a person who services the district without compensation on a planned, approved, and regular basis. For further information about volunteering and clearances, please click here.

    PTO Meeting Tonight, February 8

A special Thank you to our PTO members for ALL they do to help support the schools, the staff, and all students in both Landisville Centers. We recently learned the vendor for rides, games and food used for our annual Fun Festival over the last fifteen years is not willing to operate this year’s Festival due to it being a one-day event.

Our PTO has been diligent in investigating potential vendors to replace Penn Valley Shows. An unscheduled PTO Board Meeting was agreed upon in the January meeting to be held on Tuesday, February 8, at 6:30 PM via Zoom with updates. Any community names displaying interest in taking a PTO Board position were also on this agenda Tuesday night. Please email ron_swantner@hempfieldsd.org and/or ian_daecher@hempfieldsd.org if you would like to receive the Zoom link prior to the 6:30 PM meeting. We would like to thank you in advance for dropping in, learning more about the Festival, asking questions, listening to us speak briefly, and considering helping the PTO a little more moving forward.

    Ice Cream Sales

Ice Cream Sales will begin in the cafeteria on Fridays in February. If you permit your son/daughter to purchase ice cream or future ala carte items, they will need to have money in their account. Please contact lpc_cafe@hempfieldsd.org with any Food Service questions or to ensure your child is permitted to purchase the a la carte items once we begin to make them available this Friday. Please have a conversation with your children to let them know if they can or cannot purchase ice cream or a la carte items so that we can avoid tears and disappointment here at school. Thank you!

Career Week at LPC: Volunteer Opportunity

Keep an eye out for information related to Career Week coming to LPC. Mrs. Neff may be gone, but her legacy and the impact she made in Landisville will never be forgotten. Mrs. Thomas, Miss Vigna and Mr. Resh look to carry on the joyful learning experience of bringing our community together to share careers with our primary students to motivate, encourage and inspire them to want to grow up and make a difference through their future career impact on others. We look to extend our Career Day into Career Week activities, which will include a Career on Wheels Day. If your Career requires the use of a vehicle that you have access to and can possibly bring to LPC from 11:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. on a day in late March, we are hopeful you will be willing to join us to share this with our students. Thanks in advance for looking out for this Career Week opportunity to share with all students!

  • LPC Announcements December 8

Posted by Kimberly Snyder on 12/8/2021 3:30:00 PM

Our Holiday Shoppe Week has arrived! The LIC/LPC Holiday Shoppe runs from December 6-10. Children have designated class times when they can shop or they can shop during lunch recess or after hours at LPC on Thursday, December 9 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and Friday, December 10 from 1:30-3:30 p.m.  Please consider giving some of your time to help us with this fun event!

    Volunteers Are Needed!

We will need volunteers to help with set-up, tear-down, and student shopping in both locations. Without parents to help the children shop, we will not be able to host this fun event for our children in which they are given the chance to buy gifts ranging from $ .25- $15 for their family and friends.

If you are available to help, please review the available slots below and click on the button to sign up.  Please see your student's schedule next to each timeframe. Thank you!

Sign up to volunteer with LPC here!

    Quick Notes

    • Our clothing supply in the nurse’s office is significantly diminished. Any donations to help with unexpected needs are greatly appreciated. Thanks for your help with this request!
    • We are continuing to work on building others up and filling buckets at LPC! Please take time to review the seriousness of the words your child uses with others. Any threats or violent statements made towards others are taken very seriously and do not have a place in our school or our community, for that matter. Please remind your child that negative and inappropriate comments will not be tolerated and will result in consequences. Thanks for your continued partnership in this important area.
    • Parents/Guardians – if you are planning on attending special events in your child’s classroom, please know it is the teacher and school’s expectation that students stay in school after the event for any final lessons prior to dismissal. Unless you are signing your child out from their teacher’s classroom after 3:15 p.m., they will receive unexcused tardy minutes on their state-reported attendance. Thanks in advance for planning accordingly and keeping communication open with your child’s classroom teacher.
    • If you have any concerns or questions regarding your child and what is happening in his/her classroom, please pick up the phone or send an e-mail to the teacher. It is important to keep lines of communication open between home and school so that we can make certain we are all on the same page for helping your child. After doing this, if you feel you are still not on the same page, please call Mr. Swantner and we can set up a time to meet together to refocus and prioritize making certain our focus is on your child.

    Week of December 6

    Wednesday, December 8

    • Holiday Shoppe Open
    • Thankful Thursday: LPC is thankful for our special education staff. At this special season and time of the year, anyone who has spent time in an Elementary School knows exactly how special one must be to not only persist with teaching and learning, but with the challenges in the month of December! It offers a unique call for only the best to triumph in helping our students and families grow in all aspects. The LPC staff in the Diagnostic Kindergarten classroom, Emotional Support classroom, and our learning support classrooms go above and beyond in doing whatever is necessary in the best interest of our students and their families. Miss Cunningham, Mrs. Zeamer, Mrs. Marquez, Ms. Mitzel, and Mrs. McIntosh welcome and prepare our youngest of learners with calm and patient care to offer whatever it takes in best preparing our youngest students for future success. Words cannot express the daily work done in their classroom. LPC is also thankful for Mrs. Posch and her team. Ms. Sailor and Ms. Glah work together with Mrs. Posch to provide a safe, caring, patient, kind and productive atmosphere to best help our LPC students. It is true that our character is defined by our actions and reactions to the most difficult and challenging situations. The LPC staff members listed above offer the soft skills and character to best meet the needs of LPC students requiring a special person. Mrs. Moore and Mrs. Levins team with Mrs. Denlinger, Mrs. Platt, Mrs. Wert, and Mrs. Reavy to offer the same special care to all students in their room as well. LPC thanks ALL of our special education staff for creating and fostering such a loving, caring, appropriate environment to best meet our children’s needs.
