  • Giant A+ Shopper Rewards Program

Before your big Holiday grocery shopping begins, please make sure to provide your Giant Card Number to the school or to the email address below! These numbers need to be registered every year and are not carried over by Giant from year to year. The funds add up quickly for the school, but to really benefit, we need to have as many cards in the system as possible! Please ask for your neighbors and relatives card numbers too!!

This is the easiest way to make money for our school while you do your regular everyday grocery shopping! At LPC and LIC, we have roughly 600 families. Register by clicking here. Our school code is 02071 (Landisville Primary/Intermediate Centers). Thank you for your support!

    Volunteer Information & Clearances

  • LPC Announcements February 3

Posted by Kimberly Snyder on 2/3/2021 2:00:00 PM

We are so very proud of the safe measures, respect and responsibility the children have been showing for more than half a school year during this pandemic. Now more than ever, when the news discusses “pandemic fatigue”, we need to remind, reiterate and praise our kids when they make good, safe, respectful choices to keep themselves and their friends healthy and safe. That being said, we will continue to stress focus on keeping physically distanced from each other while staying socially connected.

We also want to show each other that we care during a special week of care through Random Acts of Kindness from February 8-12. In addition to special dress days, students can bring in valentine notes and cards to share with others and bring in Food Items to show our greater Hempfield Community We Care! Items to consider donating this month of February are listed below the calendar days this upcoming week. Don’t forget an Early Dismissal on Thursday, February 11 and we hope your family can make it to Fuddrucker’s on Rohrerstown Road on Monday, February 8 if it works in your family planning schedule.

We have seen an increase in absences since the beginning of the year. Parents, please remember to complete an excuse form within three days of your child’s absence, which follows the state expectations for reporting/recording excused absences. Doctor’s notes are required after three or more consecutive days and after ten cumulative days. Pre-approved absence forms should be completed a week or two before the planned educational trip. In an effort to avoid receiving unexcused absence letters, while the excuse is possibly still in the backpack, feel free to send electronic copies of the excuse to the classroom teacher and office staff ladies: bettylou_seitz@hempfieldsd.org and  barbara_grier@hempfieldsd.org

    PTO Update

Special Thank You to our PTO members for ALL they do to help support the schools, the staff, and all students in both Landisville Centers. Many of the PTO members agreed to stay on the Executive Board an extra year due to last year’s shut down in March with the pandemic. As we prepare for transition to new Executive Board Leaders and opportunities, Mr. Daecher and I would like to invite any/all parents to drop in to voluntary Zoom sessions on either February 9, 18, or 24 between 6:00-7:00 p.m. to learn more about the PTO, what each position entails, and to gauge your interest in possibly serving a role as a Board Member or volunteer/coordinator in our biggest Fundraiser each year (the Fun Festival in May).
