All parents who have signed up for the StopFinder app will receive an alert with this change.

The board approved the 2025-26 school year calendar at the March board meeting. 

Pre-K Counts Enrollment Sessions for Owl Hill Learning Academy’s Pre-K Counts program are happening on Wednesday, March 26 at Landisville Intermediate Center from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. and 5-7 p.m. 

Owl Hill Learning Academy offers the Pennsylvania Pre-K Counts program for Hempfield School District students who turn three years of age on or before September 1, qualify with the income and family size, and meet the program eligibility requirements. 

*Please bring a month’s worth of pay stubs or W2 for all working adults in the household for proof of income.

The program runs Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. - 1:30 p.m., and will follow the HSD calendar. 

Materials and breakfast or lunch are provided at no cost to families. Transportation is the responsibility of the family, as no busing is offered for this program.

Dinner and a Show

Save the Date! You're invited to the FPA's First Annual "Dinner and A Show" Fundraiser! Join us on Friday, March 28th from 6:00 - 7:30 PM at Farmdale for a night of fun for the whole family!

 

Enjoy an Italian Pasta Dinner, raffles, and a unique show starring our very own Farmdale staff.  This year’s show will feature a Farmdale twist on the “Farmdale Masked Singer!”

 

Tickets will be $8 in advance and $10 at the door (if seating is still available). All proceeds from this event will go towards funding field trips and grade-level activities for our students, sponsored by the FPA.

Upcoming School Schedule

We will have an early 1:30 dismissal this Thursday, March 13th with a modified kindergarten schedule (see kindergarten schedule below).

 

There is no school on Friday, March 14th and Monday, March 17th.

 

Kindergarten Schedule Thurs. March 13:

• AM session: 9:00 AM to 10:50 AM

• PM session: 11:40 AM to 1:30 PM

On March 4th, students in the Preschool Connections program, who will be kindergarteners in the 25-26 school year, had their very first bus ride! Parents and students watched an informative safety video. Then parents waved goodbye as one of our Hempfield buses took the students on a small ride before returning to Farmdale. Thank you to our Reading Team and the bus driver for making this a memorable experience! Please enjoy some photos below:

Families and youth baseball players are invited to attend "First Pitch" next Friday, March 14, from 6-8 p.m. in the high school cafeteria. Children are free and adults are $5. Dinner is included and doors open at 5:30 p.m. Attendees will enjoy a 10u, 12u and 14u Velocity Challenge, raffle baskets, auction items and more. Meet the 2025 team and the 2024 PIAA 6A State Champs!!!! Let’s Go Knights!
