Hempfield Partners for Exceptional Children (HPEC)

Hempfield Partners for Exceptional Children is a partnership between parents/guardians and district staff, working together to improve communication and understanding of student needs and educational services for students who have been identified with exceptionalities (students with an IEP, GIEP, and/or 504 Plan). HPEC is a forum where you can network with parents and staff to share your concerns about your child’s performance in school, to share strategies that have worked for you, or to gain new strategies.

Understanding and Addressing Emotion Regulation in Gifted and Distractable Minds.

An eye-opening and practical session that explores why 2e individuals often experience big emotions and seemingly out-of-sync reactions. With insight, warmth, and real-world examples, Julie unpacks the brain-based reasons behind emotion regulation challenges—and offers a clear, compassionate formula for responding with intention. Perfect for both parents and 2e adults, this session brings clarity, connection, and strategies to support calm at home, in the classroom, and beyond.
