Travel Restrictions & Coronavirus Update for Students & Families

As COVID-19 cases continue to decline and the state’s vaccination plan is rolled out, Governor Wolf announced that travel restrictions, which were implemented in November 2020, have been eliminated.

Under this November order, any individual, 11 years of age of older, who traveled out-of-state had to present documentation of a negative COVID-19 test or quarantine for a minimum of 10 days before returning to school. This is no longer required, and individuals who choose to travel out of state do not need to inform their building principal for purposes of this order. Absences for travel should still be requested through the Pre-Approved Absence Form.
