Statement from Board President on HEA Negotiations
President Mike Donato shared the following statement at the Aug. 13, 2024 school board meeting:
The Hempfield School Board and Hempfield Education Association continue to negotiate towards a new collective bargaining agreement. Progress has been made in some areas, however, there is still much work to be done. The Board understands that the Hempfield community has questions about the current status of negotiations. In an attempt to answer many of these questions, the District will be posting information about Hempfield’s most recent contract, its budget, tax increases and other relevant details on its website beginning tomorrow (Aug. 14). The Board may provide additional details as negotiations proceed.
As always, the Board is grateful for the hard work and dedication of Hempfield’s faculty and staff. We look forward to a successful beginning to the 2024-2025 school year on August 22.
