Food Services Information for the 2023-24 School Year
Food Services information for the 2023-24 school year will differ by school building. If you require further assistance regarding any of the information below, please contact Alaina Melendez, Food Services Director, at (717) 459-5271.
For households with students at CMS, EPES, FES, MES, and RES:
Important Food Services information should have been received at your residence in mid-August. If you did not receive this communication, you may download it here. CMS, EPES, FES, MES, and RES will be implementing a new provision known as Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) in the 2023-24 school year.
All enrolled students at the above-mentioned buildings are eligible to receive a nutritional breakfast and lunch each school day at no charge to your household. No further action is required of you. Your child(ren) at CMS, EPES, FES, MES, and RES will be able to participate in these meal programs without paying a fee or submitting an application.
If you have students in buildings not listed above in your household, free or reduced meal eligibility will have to be performed through Direct Certification (SNAP, TANF, Medical Assistance) or an income-based application. For households with students at HHS, LMS, CES, LPC, and LIC:
Important Food Services information should have been received at your residence in mid-August. If you did not receive this communication, you may download it here. Children need healthy meals to learn, and HSD offers them every school day. Breakfast is offered at no cost; lunch costs ES $2.70 / MS $2.85 / HS $3.00.
Your child(ren) may be eligible to receive free or reduced-price meals. If applicable, an application must be completed each school year at any time.
