Earlier today, November 4, Hempfield School District posted communication regarding two incidents in the school district – one at the high school and one at LMS. In both cases, high school and district administrators along with East Hempfield Township Police responded and quickly investigated and addressed both incidents. Since that time, there have been several social media posts and images shared about potential threats to the high school. We have and will continue to work with the East Hempfield Township Police to investigate any and all threats to our schools. Everything that has been shared with us as a potential threat has been investigated by police, and at this time there is no evidence of a credible threat to Hempfield High School.
We greatly appreciate the 4-1-1 and other tips from the community and the quick response and due diligence of the East Hempfield Township Police Department. We take reports of threats against our schools seriously and will continue to work with the police to investigate them. East Hempfield Township Police encourages anyone who has concrete evidence of a threat to contact them at 717-898-3103.
