Important Forms and Documents
Requests for special transportation in accordance with Alternate Care/Dual Custody Guidelines require parents/guardians to submit a completed form to the Transportation Office for review and approval.
How to Find Student Transportation Plans
For Hempfield Students
The transportation schedule for a Hempfield student can be found on the Stopfinder app and the PowerSchool Parent Portal.
To get started with Stopfinder, follow these steps:
- Always maintain accurate contact information, including a phone number and e-mail address, in the PowerSchool Parent Portal. In order for Stopfinder to work, the “primary contact” must have an e-mail address listed.
- Each student’s “primary contact” should have already received an invitation e-mail from Stopfinder. Inside that email is an account activation link. If you have not received the invitation, please e-mail transportation@hempfieldsd.org to request an invite.
- Download the free app from Google Play or the Apple App Store and log in.
- Set up at least one “GeoAlert” for each of your student(s) runs. A “GeoAlert” will send an alert to your phone when the bus GPS passes that prescribed geographic location during your student’s run. This allows you to know when the bus is en route or about to drop your student off.
- Share access with a spouse, family member, neighbor, or caretaker with subordinate accounts.
For more information on Stopfinder, please refer to the guide under the "Resources" heading or contact the Transportation Office.
The information in the PowerSchool Parent Portal is delayed by one day. If a change is made to a student's transportation plan, the updated information will not be visible in the Parent Portal until the following day.

Non-Public Students
For non-public students, a parent/guardian will receive an email with the student's transportation schedule. Keeping your contact information up to date with Hempfield School District's Transportation Department is important to ensure proper notifications are received in the event of a bus delay or plan change.
