Visit The New Black Knight Bookmobile This Summer!

All elementary HSD students are invited to visit the new Black Knight Bookmobile this summer! Thanks to a grant from the Hempfield Foundation, students can receive a new book, enjoy storytime, and spend time with friends.

  • Mark your calendars: July 6, 13, 20 & 27
  • 9–10 a.m. — Amos Herr Park Pavilion
  • 11 a.m.–12 p.m. — Mountville Elementary School Pavilion

An adult or guardian must accompany all students. We hope to see you there!

Final Transcripts
Final transcripts will be sent during the week of June 15th based on the information students submitted in the SchooLinks Senior Exit Survey. You do not need to submit an additional request. 

If your student’s plans have changed, please have them contact their school counselor as soon as possible with updated information regarding where their final transcript should be sent.

Hempfield Football Spring Showcase This Wednesday

Support our Black Knights at their Spring Showcase Football game at the stadium this Wednesday, May 20, from 6-7:30 p.m. This event is free and geared toward our Hempfield youth. The football team will conduct its last spring practice through a series of competitive drills, then invite the youth onto the field to either catch or run for a touchdown! One hundred (100) youth will receive a free mini football that can be used for autographs from players. The 2026–27 school calendar has officially been approved by the school board! 

  • Step-Up Day & Sneak-A-Peek is Monday, 8/24
  • First student day is Tuesday, 8/25
  • Tentative last student day is Wednesday, 6/2

Free sports physicals for the 2026–27 School Year will be held on Thursday, May 14, in the Franklin Gym.

Please bring:

  • Completed Section 5
  • Blank Section 6
  • ATS portal help will be available on-site

Student Job Fair Info

Is your local company or business looking to hire student workers this summer? If so, please register for our HHS job fair on Wednesday, April 29, from 9-11 a.m. in the Franklin Gym. Pre K Counts Flyer

Enrollment night for Owl Hill Learning Academy’s Pre-K Counts program is Monday, March 23, from 4:30-6:30 p.m. at Landisville Intermediate Center. 

Owl Hill Learning Academy offers the Pennsylvania Pre-K Counts program for Hempfield School District students who turn three years of age on or before September 1, qualify based on income and family size, and meet the program eligibility requirements. 

*Please bring a month’s worth of pay stubs or W-2 for all working adults in the household for proof of income.

The program runs Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. - 1:30 p.m., and will follow the HSD calendar. 

Materials and breakfast or lunch are provided at no cost to families. Transportation is the family's responsibility, as no busing is provided for this program.
