    There will be NO after school tutoring this week.

    The Patriot Team teachers are proud to present this week’s Prestigious Patriot award to JP Jones. This award is given to students who show outstanding effort, team spirit, and the desire to be the best Congratulations JP!!

    There will be no middle school boys' basketball practice today.

    Hempfield girls Lacrosse K-8 Parent information Night is January 25 at 7p.m. at Hempfield High School LG1

    All children interested in playing soccer for Penn Legacy this spring should stop by the office to pick up a flyer about the program for your parents. Boys and Girls of all ages are welcomed to participate in this fun and exciting sport. Summer camps are also available in June and July. See you on the field

    Due to school being canceled today, Wednesday, January 11, we will be following the menu below for breakfast and lunch tomorrow, Thursday, January 12.

    Breakfast

    • Choose 1 entrée
    • Sky Blue Sweet Roll, Kellogg’s Pop Tarts, Whole Grain Supper Bakery Donuts or Breakfast Sandwich (Egg, Sausage, & Cheese on English Muffin)
    • Fruit/Juice choice
    • Milk Choice   

    Lunch

    • Grilled Chicken Sandwich w/ Bacon, Lettuce, Tomato and American Cheese on Wheat Roll
    • Pizza Express, Big Daddy’s Buffalo Chicken Pizza
    • Subway Sub Day w/ Sun Chips

    All meal selections come with choice of fruit, vegetable, and milk

    Teacher Clue: Today's last teacher clue is, this teacher aspires to be on Survivor one day. Please vote today during your lunch. Winner will receive Landisville Loot.

    Attention LMS Aevidum members! Our next meeting will be held on Wednesday, January 11th during FLEX in Room 214. See you then!

    The boys basketball players that will be riding to CMS after school today, should ride bus 21. Bus 21 parks in slot 8 in the front of the school.

    There will be a Bible study held in the art room on Wednesday January 11th at 7:10am. Please see Katelyn Herr or Celeste Simmons with questions.
    All students are welcome.

    Students – please remember that you are not permitted to have water bottles where you cannot see the liquid inside the container. Water bottles that are clear or have a colored tint are ok, as long as you can see the contents inside that water bottle. Water bottles that you cannot see into will be turned into the office. Thank you for your cooperation with this school rule.

    Calling all students ready for a math challenge! Consider joining the LMS MathCounts team. The first practice will be held this Thursday, January 5th at 3:30 in LG1. See your math teacher for an information sheet with more details.

    Congratulations to Amanda Ritchie and Christian LaBarberra for earning the Prodigious Pioneer award! This is awarded to students who display good work ethic, team spirit, and kindness to others. Congrats Amanda & Christian!

    If you are in 8th grade Art and you have not finished building your clay, you must see Miss Smith today to get a pass.

    Calling all students ready for a math challenge! Consider joining the LMS MathCounts team. The first practice will be held this Thursday, January 5th at 3:30 in LG1. See your math teacher for an information sheet with more details.

    There will be after school tutoring in the library on Thursday.

    Attention, Spelling Bee participants. Today's spelling bee will be held in the LG room. Please report to LG #1 immediately after period 3. We wish each of you successful spelling!

    The Junior High wrestling team ran their record to 3-0, topping McCaskey 57-33 yesterday evening. Davison Chapman and JP Jones both had exhibition wins for the Black Knights

    Attention, students and staff! Today we are running a special AM activity. The LMS all-school spelling bee will be held immediately after third period. Those students participating in the bee should report to LG1. All other students should report to homeroom. The bee will be televised by WLMS. We wish all of our spelling bee participants S U C C E S S !

    If you are interested in an energetic, competitive, and rewarding atmosphere please consider joining the Quiz Bowl Team. The first practice was Tuesday, December 20th at 3:15 pm and the first match will be today: Tuesday January 3rd at 3:30 pm. All Quiz bowl meetings will begin at the Library doors until a permanent site in the building is determined. Quiz Bowl is a great way to get involved with friends and showcase your knowledge.

    Attention chess members, friendly reminder we have our first match tomorrow against OMPH. Please plan to be picked up at LMS at 5 PM.
