The Food Services Department participates in the National School Lunch, School Breakfast, and After School Snack Programs, providing nutritious meals and snacks daily to students and staff. Regulations regarding meal patterns and program procedures are established by the U.S. Dept. of Agriculture. Not only is our department concerned with serving nutritious meals, we are also very diligent in maintaining food safety and sanitation standards. Every school has a minimum of two staff members who are trained and ServSafe certified.
*Please Note: Breakfast will not be served at the elementary schools in the event there is a 2-hour delay. A cold grab-and-go breakfast will be available at all secondary schools.
You will find answers to many of your questions by clicking on the links to the right. The selection of a la carte items available to students in the course of a school day is now restricted by Federal mandates. We have worked hand-in-hand with the HSD Wellness Council to provide the best offerings within these mandates. For more information about Food Services, check out our Department Blog.
