Hempfield High School Juniors and Seniors and their dates celebrated the Prom at the Marriott Hotel and Convention Center in downtown Lancaster. The theme this year was "Bright Lights, Big City."  The buffet dinner for the prom was held in the ballroom on the third floor of the Marriott. After dinner,  the students went to the 2nd floor ballroom for dancing and refreshments. Gentlemen wore colorful vests and the ladies were elegant in their gowns as well.

Following the prom, the annual post prom event began and ended very early on Sunday morning. The theme for this year's Post Prom was "Hempfieldopoly," featuring sets such as a real Boardwalk with food and activities, a Vermont Avenue photo opportunity, Atlantic Avenue attractions, and an Oriental Avenue with origami, green tea, and a "sushi bar." Entertainment for the evening included karaoke, “Deal or No Deal,” “Fear Factor,” and a theatrical juggler. The Buchanan gymnasium was filled with giant inflatables for play, as well as Zumba, ping-pong challenges, Just Dance, and a giant game of Twister. Door prizes were given away throughout the evening at the "Community Chest."
