Secondary Education at Hempfield

Welcome to the Hempfield School District's Secondary Education Web Page. Our Secondary programs include a variety of curricular and co-curricular experiences that enable our staff to focus on meeting the wide array of student developmental needs within our schools.

At the core of our Secondary Curriculum is our focus on Literacy. As you read our Course Description Guides (below and to the left) you will notice that our Strategic Literacy courses include a diagnostic and prescriptive approach to helping every student develop reading and writing skills. Although this is only one of our programs, we continue to provide staff development to all teachers as part of our efforts to help students experience reading and writing instruction throughout our curriculum.
