Elementary Education
Welcome to the Hempfield School District's Elementary Web Page. Those of us who work in the Elementary Program are committed to providing experiences to our students that will allow them to master the basic building blocks of learning. It is our wish that when all children exit the elementary grades, they have mastered the basic learning skills in order to be prepared for the rigors of the curriculum as they progress through the Middle and Senior High Schools.
Additionally, our elementary programs must prepare our students physically, emotionally, and socially to achieve our ultimate goal of sending children into adulthood as positive and productive members of our society.
Throughout the elementary years, the staff remains very aware of the needs of the "Whole Child" and is committed to providing the best possible educational experience for both the students and the families. Successful achievement, as well as, social and emotional growth during the elementary school years, requires cooperation between school and home. The elementary schools will work cooperatively with parents in bringing about a positive and rewarding experience for all of our students. The elementary schools urge parents to take an active interest in school activities through attendance at school functions. Through mutual support, cooperation, and communication, we are confident that your child's elementary school experience will be successful. To this end, we pledge out commitment.
