Boys soccer players grades 8-12 are invited (strongly encouraged) to join us on Tuesdays & Thursdays from 3:00-4:15pm from now until January, for a special soccer specific weight training program. This program will help all players (goalkeepers & field players) improve in their speed, strength, flexibility and explosive power.
Other benefits to regular participation include: Reduced risk of injury, and enhanced camaraderie / team spirit - by working together in the off-season. This is also a time for new leaders to emerge. (The current Juniors and Sophomores can start to "test their wings" as leaders.) Current Senior players are welcome to attend, but we will ask our Juniors to lead!
It is the hope of the coaching staff that all players planning to compete for a spot on next year's team would attend each Tues. & Thurs., in preparation for the next phase of the program, when we accelerate the training to be done 3 times a week. (This phase will start the end of January, and run through May.)
