Implementation of this fee structure will assist the district with its efforts to continue to provide a robust offering of athletic, fine arts, and educational enhancement opportunities for all students this year.
This fee will be charged to students participating on any district athletic team, all extracurricular music and dramatic performance activities, and clubs such as Chess Club, Odyssey of the Mind, Quiz Bowl, and Math Counts. Fees do not apply to groups that perform specific services for school or community populations. Accommodations will be made for students/families experiencing economic hardships. A list of activities for which fees will be charged can be found to the right.
It is important to note that this is not a participation fee that guarantees any playing time or level of participation; it is a payment required of all students rostered in a sport or activity. Parents will be invoiced after rosters and cast lists have been finalized and submitted to the administration by coaches, directors, and activity advisors. Students who quit activities after rosters/lists are finalized will still be subject to payment of the fee.
The fee structure is as follows:
- High School: $50 per activity
- Middle School: $30 per activity
- Family cap: $200 - for families that have one or more children participating in several activities, no more than $200 in total will be due per family for activities within the current school year
- Students who qualify for the Free/Reduced student meal program will be exempted from these fees
An online payment system has been established for the collection of fees. To pay for these fees online, please refer to our Fee Payment Instructions [PDF]. Information regarding the status of fees due for individual students will also be available for viewing on the Sapphire Student Portal shortly after final rosters and cast lists are established.
